Attention: Preliminary HT Riders
We will schedule your rides on Fri/Sat. Dressage and Show Jumping Friday, XC Sat. Please email the event address if you wish to adjust your stabling.

Attention: Horse Trials Riders
If you enter the event via XEntry, you MUST mail your printed entry at the same time. Teams are accepted ahead of individual entries postmarked the same day, and the secretary will have no way to link entries by team if they are processed differently. You may certainly use XEntry, but the hard copy will be used to sort the teams.



Check Entry Status for the list of entries accepted as of Oct 11. Please check all the information to ensure it is correct, including stabling. XEntry forms done early on did not include stall fees.

If you do not see your name here you may safely assume that you are on the wait list. We will continue to backfill scratches until Monday of event week in postmark order. If you do not wish to remain on the wait list please let me know so that we can offer your space to others.

XC Schooling

We will offer XC Schooling on Sunday, Oct 21 after the courses are cleared at the end of competition. Each rider must stop at the Show Office to pay the $35 schooling fee, sign a Release and collect a schooling pinney.
We will open the office for sign ups at 3P, and we anticipate Schooling from 4P-5:30P.
Please be prepared to clear the courses when asked so that we can release our medical staff.
Schooling will be cancelled only for bad weather conditions or compromised footing. Cancellation will be posted here on the website.

Team Challenge will offer team competition from Beginner Novice through Preliminary in the Horse Trials, a CCI* hosting the USEF national trophies, along with the National P3D and T3D levels. All HT divisions are OPEN divisions. All three day divisions are individuals only, not team competitions.
Hope you join us for a great event in October!

All FEI riders will be stabled together, along with their extra horses. All T3D riders will also be stabled together, in barns adjacent to the CCI riders. Riders in the HT only will be located with their travel groups as indicated on the stabling forms.

There are several other events and activities at the Park this week so hotel and campground reservations should be made very early!

Team Challenge HT entry level is near capacity. We will maintain a wait list of all entries with payment included that are received through Close. Please avoid paying with credit card if entering now, since your funds will be locked for some time.
We will post a list of accepted entries soon. We must wait to do a Draw per the rules, and to allow entries in the mail to arrive.

Entries containing a personal check or other form of payment which are not accepted will have payment shredded or returned after the event. Entries paid via credit card online will have funds refunded after the event.

Email requests to join the wait list will not be honored. Riders will be added as space allows in strict postmark order. ALL ENTRIES must be mailed in hard copy to join the wait list.

This event uses vinyl XC bibs and paper pinny inserts.

These forms are interactive, and may be downloaded and completed before printing for submission. Do not leave any spaces blank; response required for each section.

Riders or Owners who want to pay entry fees via credit card have the option to use the USEA XEntry system. This process can be used by any USEA member. Canadian riders or USEA non-members may use XEntry by creating a USERID in the Dashboard system.

PLEASE NOTE: You must still print out the entry form and mail it to the Secretary to be considered an entry in the event if you are using XEntry or any other electronic process. All fees and signatures must be included. If you pay via credit card on XEntry, the "postmark" is the date you submit the entry. If you do not pay with credit card, your postmark on the mailed entry will apply. The secretary will expect paid online entries in the mail just as with those completed online but not paid.

The HT traditionally has long wait lists for spaces in the event. MAIL your entry on the same day you complete the online process, and clearly indicate your TEAM name. There will be no way to link entries done online with others sent via mail, unless you follow this process.



Classic Three Day Incentive Program

Hagyard Midsouth 3Day & Team Challenge HT is delighted to offer an Incentive for our Classic (Long Format) riders. Each Training 3Day competitor who completes the event will be offered a Classic Format Voucher, which will entitle the rider or the horse the opportunity to compete at the Classic Preliminary level at a reduced cost. The voucher will provide a $75 discount for a qualified entry for either the same rider or the same horse in the Prelim 3Day [P3D] division at the 2013 or 2014 Hagyard Midsouth Three Day.
We hope this incentive will provide support to our riders as they progress in their development as Classic Eventers. We look forward to many more graduates in our two-part program of Three Day competitions!

The team competition for horse trials divisions at the Mid-South 3Day and Team Challenge HT in October is conducted in the following manner. Note that all HT divisions are OPEN divisions. Each of the team members, either 3 or 4 riders, will ride dressage at the same time in adjacent rings (which comprise the individual divisions), and then will jump both XC and show jumping in consecutive order. So, no team may have a rider on two or more horses. If teams have been submitted with a rider on multiple horses, the extra rides will be placed in the list of individual entries. Riders may contact the secretary to indicate which ride should be the first team horse.
We will schedule the teams that entered on Opening Date first, and then add teams and individual entries as we have room. All riders will be placed either on short teams of 3, or on composite teams that we assemble. All accepted riders will be listed online after the Draw Date. If a team member must be replaced, the secretary will backfill the vacancy from the waitlist until the list is exhausted. Teams which drop below three members after we have exhausted our waitlist will cease to exist as a team, but the remaining riders will still compete as individuals. Substitutions at the same level of either horse or rider, but not both, will be accepted if qualified for that level. Please understand that these policies are in place to treat the waitlisted riders fairly. Team scores are determined by adding together the lowest three scores from the team riders. Team scores and placings are re-calculated using this formula after each phase of competition.All teams are encouraged to join in the fun of cross-country day by wearing safe, appropriate costumes!

Many of our spectators are new to the sport of Eventing, and we want them to know you as more than just a number.
Is your horse an off-the-track-Thoroughbred? Is this your first or your horse�s first event? Is this a new horse, or perhaps your first Training Level event together? Maybe it is your birthday, or you are really proud of something you and your horse have accomplished this year. We want to know about your profession, your school/college, spouse/children, etc.
Please email some background information to our announcer Cyndi Kurth. Please complete these no later than Tue, Oct 16. This info will not be shared with anyone else!
