Our upcoming event is hugely popular, and we have begun keeping a waitlist at all levels. Riders whose entries have been accepted will receive an acceptance letter in the mail. Please allow a short time for this. We will continue to take entries for the waitlist, and will get them in the event as we get scratches. You will either get an acceptance notice by mail, Email or phone, or your entry monies will be returned. We look forward to hosting as many of you as we can. Be sure to verify the schedule upon arrival, since the program may have been updated since going to print. We will keep juggling the daylight hours we have to work with to schedule a great event for all of you. See MANY of you soon! Event Secy

It would be nice if perhaps instead of sending acceptance letters, you had an "Entry Status" link on the Mayfest site the way many other major events do. That way, there would be no question about getting an acceptance letter- you just check your status listing- "entry accepted" or "wait listed". It would make life easier and save y'all postage.

Yes, we know that some events do that, but then you do not get all the additional info that is included in the letters. We try to let everyone know their status, especially if we have Email addresses. The reality is that all of our events fill in the first couple of days, so the best option for the rider is to enter on Opening Day. And managing the daily changes from one list to the other takes about the same time as doing the letters, and we all work our day jobs too. Big events just take a lot of work either way!

Actually, I agree with the first idea of having a link. I've been doing Mayfest since 2000, and even back then I thought it'd be nice to have a link for current accepted entries. And this year, I'm in the middle of a move that came much earlier than expected, so who knows where the post office is sending my mail! :-) But I also understand the hassle. Just a thought. Hope to see everyone there. Reply to this comment

Jessica, the good news is you are in the event in Prel. If you are arriving on Thu, we will need a little extra stabling money, sorry! Please send me your correct address either here or at ctevents@bellsouth.net. Now, I understand the reasons you guys want another list, but please realize that the waitlist is constantly changing. But more importantly, the acceptance letters allow us to inform you of the missing/incorrect/out-of-date/spelled wrong stuff on your entry form. Not that this applies to any of us, just those other riders! I have tried lists in the past (been doing this awhile) and they tend to just generate even more questions, especially since the riders don't notice the date posted, their own postmark dates, etc... Anyway, we appreciate your thoughts and will keep trying to give you ALL the info you want. Event Secy Reply to this comment

Debbie,
At several spring events I have received confirmation of entry status, which also included all the information you have listed above, missing items, money owed, signatures etc, and it was extremely easy to know what I needed in order to pick up a number!!!
Specifically the Rocking Horse events come to mind and it was super simple.
Maybe you could give shelley a shout when she is finished with Jersey Fresh and see if it is as simple as she has us believing it is!!
Thanks for all your hard work and dedication to us.
It is truly appreciated

I'm one of those who used evententries for my form and it didn't put in dollars for Thursday stabling so I owe for it. Are we supposed to mail it in now or is it okay to just pay it when we get there? Reply to this comment

You can do either way, mail it now or bring it to me. Another reason to use our online entry process instead! Reply to this comment
