Her fellow riders can now make donations to help defer the costs of Debbie Atkinson's expenses for rehabilitation and care. Debbie is awaiting transfer to the Shepherd Center in Atlanta to begin her spinal cord rehab work. She is alert and able to speak, and wants to thank all of you for your unwavering support. Donations to the American Horse Trials Foundation are greatly appreciated.
The American Horse Trials Foundation is a non-profit corporation established to assist event riders and organizers in raising tax-deductible financial support, usually for national and international competition. At this time only eight percent of each contribution is deducted for administrative expenses. According to Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, all contributions are deductible to the maximum extent allowed by law. Donations should be directed to the American Horse Trials Foundation, Inc., not to the beneficiary. Therefore, do not write Debbie's name on the check. You may enclose a note indicating that you want your funds earmarked for Debbie.
