Attention: Riders! Kentucky has begun vigorous enforcement of state regulations regarding required paperwork for horses traveling both within the state and into and out of the state for competitions. For intrastate travel, horses must have both a negative Coggins within 12 months of travel dates and a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection within 150 days. For interstate travel, horses must have a Coggins within 12 months and a Vet Certificate within 30 days of travel. Be sure to also determine whether your state has additional measures in place due to the VS embargo. Do not be caught unprepared! |
